DANVILLE, Va. – The sold-out Blue Ridge Rock Festival commenced Thursday in Pittsylvania County.
The pageant is envisioned to deliver about 35,000 individuals each and every working day of the four-working day festival. Twenty-thousand of these ticket holders also plan on location up camp in selected tenting lots.
“The tenting experience is a whole other level, not just remaining in a hotel, receiving to see all people in the night, dangle out, discuss to them and have a excellent time,” explained Botetourt County indigenous, Michael Boone.
Prior to attendees arrived, numerous sat in several hours of targeted visitors just striving to get to the campsite.
“[It is] overall chaos, absolutely unorganized, way out of control. We are in this article now even though, that’s all that matters,” reported Rob Cross, who traveled from Hampton Roadways to come to the festival.

I’m kind of in a good temper,” reported pair Dair and Mike Baldwin, who also sat in several hours of traffic in advance of obtaining to established up camp for the weekend.
10 News spoke with several men and women, many of which did not seem to be far too concerned about the distribute of COVID-19, and even these who are still hunting ahead to a weekend total of rock ‘n roll.
“I mean, I’m still apprehensive about COVID, but I got the vaccine and stuff way too, so I’m not far too concerned,” reported Franklin County indigenous, Travis Swain.
